Sweeps for my Sweep
8 GoodGymers made their way to help the St Christopher's Fellowship in Richmond.

GoodGymmers visited the St Christopher’s Fellowship children’s home in St Margarets for part two of an autumn tidy up of the front garden. With light fading fast by the time we got to work at 6.30pm, head torches were an essential item as well as a pair of sturdy gloves. Kate in particular arrived raring to go after a solid 30 minute run along the river.
Our main task was a SWEEP FOR MY SWEEP of the leaves and we set about doing this with every tool at our disposal. There was much interest in the solitary broom which went to Monika but others more than made do with some metal rakes and other garden utensils.
It was a wet evening which kept us on our toes to keep warm. Carla brought everyone up to date with the news by explaining the new three Tiers of lockdown (Naomi offered the Nando’s Peri-ometer as an alternative helpful way of understanding it). There was further food chatter as Salwa explained to an ever hungrier bunch about her newest dessert creation: chocolate cheesecake brownie.
We filled two green recycling bins with leaves and left them for the council to collect.
