Butter Knives Out: Weeding the Searchlight patio
5 GoodGymers made their way to help the Mencap in Kingston upon Thames.

It had been a while since weed been at Searchlight, and the patio was losing its battle against the weeds. Petra, Claire, Di, Jassy & Martel made a crack team to get the plants up and into the compost. The weather was working against us but we weathered the storm and rain made it easier to get the weeds up. Claire made the moss of the mission, ensuring every bit of green was taken up. Di didn't curb her enthusiasm for making the edges neat and tidy. Petra got swept away working the broom and before long the patio was looking smart and ready for action. Jane appeared with home-made brownies to start the party in celebration of Kingston GG's 3rd birthday, shortly followed by Rob, Mark and Freya. Thanks to Searchlight for hosting our celebrations!
