A great task tonight at the British Heart Foundation shop. They had us at short notice as, sadly, we couldn’t weatherproof the Wheels 4 All shed in the rain (rescheduled for Tuesday 6th June),. So instead we came to move the broken table mountain we had created a few weeks before.
One team was on the first floor, moving the broken tables into the lift and the other team was in the basement, moving them to the loading bay and stacking them up. We had a slow start getting into position but once we started we got into a rhythm and cleared approximately 10 lifts. Even though some of table parts were heavy, we were able to slide them over the floor so it was easier to manoeuvre which saved our backs and time. Gloves really helped for this task as it helped to grip the shiny table tops.
The hour went really fast and soon it was time to say goodbye. Christine from the BHF shop asked us to come back and help create a festival window display - if we can make the dates work, we’ll be back to help! Thanks for the Chocolate Hob Nobs.
