Another fabulous science session at MAKE today and a warm welcome to Ranjitha our new GG member who got stuck in straightaway. We started with arranging Skittles sweets on paper plates, adding water and waiting for a pattern to form. Then transferring the pattern on to a blank 'card' for birthday or Mother's Day. Moving on to the Lava Lamps, we used jars, baking soda, water, oil, vinegar and the all important colour. Everyone got excited when the bubbles started to rise - for some reason, the colour yellow worked best! We had a great turnout again - Sam is doing a brilliant job presenting all the sessions. And Lucy confirmed the Skittles tasted just as good even after sitting in water! We have a longer session tomorrow making balloon cars and spaghetti bridges.
