Mrs M has had her big house move project all figured out. For the last two months, she was methodically going through the material side of the 45 years of her life in the house and compressing it into cardboard boxes and plastic tubs. Plenty of the parcels went to the local charity, the rest was taken to storage. The top two floors were cleared, partially thanks to some GoodGymers that had visited Mrs M earlier and carried all the boxes downstairs. It looked like Mrs M is going to meet her deadline to move out. Until an accident happened.

Before fully recovering from a nasty bug Mrs M had caught in January, she fell down the stairs, which landed her in the hospital and rendered her out of action for two weeks. When two Ealing GoodGymers visited her for the 4th time, she was still in pain but delighted to see them again.

Sevan A.K.A. Stefan and Kash had a good, mostly uphill, run to Hampstead Heath from Pitshanger Park where they had volunteered at junior parkrun. The temperature was below zero since early morning, so an indoor task was a treat. The GoodGymers anticipated a leg day with plenty of walking up-and-down the stairs. In reality, they moved only between two floors - still a good workout for quads and glutes!

Mrs M had plenty of boxing to do for Sevan and Kash. First, they packed books into cartons they assembled on the spot on the first floor, then they moved some plastic tubs to the ground level. Next, they bagged the contents of Mrs M's wardrobe - some of them were stylish pieces as Mrs M used to work as a fashion designer. Later, the GoodGymers put the clothes into large boxes for transporting garments on hangers.

On the ground floor, after saying hello to Mr M, Sevan and Kash were tasked to pack kids' toys into boxes. Some of them were not straightforward to position in the cartons - like the replica of Millennium Falcon or the life-size Barbie heard. Kash squeezed them into a parcel with colourful objects with buttons, all to the soundtrack of robotic dog barks and Old MacDonald Had a Farm that she kept triggering.

It was already lunchtime halfway through the mission, so the tempting smell of food filled the house and made Kash and Sevan hungry. After finishing the job, they ran to a Thai cafe where they stopped for a bowl of hearty, warming curry.

Next weekend is the final one before Mrs M's big move, and she may ask for GoodGym's help again to finish her mammoth task.
