Report written by Derby runner
Today, Gwyn and Tracey were back on one of their favourite missions; delivery drivers, carrying delicious meals to the community, kindly provided by the amazingly friendly Derby West Indian Community Association. This time we covered a different area of the city, discovering new places and new faces, all of them very smiley and appreciative. It is a real pleasure to support this lovely organisation in making a difference to people's lives.
We needed to drive to keep the meals hot, but did fit some exercise into the day. We walked together in the morning, then again briefly just before collecting the food. Tracey finished the day with yet another walk, but Gwyn chose a bike ride to work some different muscles!
Debry West Indian community Association is a community hub centred in the middle of Derby. We are currently Delivering hot meals to the most vulnerable in Debry, but we really need your help! if you can spare an hour or two per week please get in touch today.
