This is a rubbish pun
13 GoodGymers made their way to help the Ouseburn Trust in Newcastle.
- Saturday, 21st of September 2019
- Led by Southwark runner
Today was both World Cleanup Day and GoodGym’s Super Saturday so 12 fantastic Newcastle GoodGymmers got busy picking up litter from around the beautiful Ouseburn valley.
The ouseburn valley is a blissful oasis in the heart of Newcastle city centre that is full of twisting paths. That does mean there are a lots of spots for rubbish to get caught up in the undergrowth.
We split up into two different groups to cover more area and filled over 20 bin bags full of rubbish!!
Some of the most quirky things we found today included: one boot, one shoe, what looked like a mouth for Mr Potato Head, a wine glass, a pair of trousers, collected loads of cans and newspapers
If you put any pictures up on social media platforms please use the hash tag #GGSuperSaturdayand then pictures from all different activities will be collected together.
It was amazing to see so many people today and I think we definitely made a difference! Check out our Sunday mission weeding and willow weaving at Jesmond Community Orchard
