On a very hot July evening, five determined GoodGymers made their way to Catton Grove Community Centre. We had all either ran or cycled to the community centre despite, me personally, being tempted to get into an air conditioned car instead.

Once we were all gathered outside the community centre, Linda quickly talked us through the task in hand. Like previous visits to Catton Grove, there was plenty of trimming back and general tidying up to be done. We got straight to work with Elizabeth and I heading to the car park and Jonathan, Bobby and Kamilla starting the opposite end of the community centre.

Apart from a few prickly suspects and one not so pleasant pile of poo, the task was carried out quickly and successfully. No indecent items found amongst the weeds this time. (If you need to check what I am referring to here then have a read of our group run from July 2019).

At the end of our session we re-grouped before proudly taking a photo with the garden waste we had collected. Admittedly, the pile was not looking as big as previous visits to Catton Grove but still pretty decent considering our group was about an eighth of the size it usually is.

Before departing I ask the others what they had achieved their end of the garden, to which Bobby tells me he has been fighting off wolves. Jonathan and Kamilla just stuck to cutting back the overgrowth round the side of the community centre. I guess we can't all be heroes, hey Bobby?

Thanks to Elizabeth for taking the photos and providing us with time checks.
