We definitely needed rain but not at 8am when Parkrun is setting up & when you’re timekeeper trying to keep your screen dry! Luckily we’re blessed with lovely Catton Parkrun umbrellas. Numbers were down on the usual, but still 214 people came out to walk/run/jog their way around. Well done everyone it was also my 700th Goodgym deed today, which we will celebrate at Tuesdays Group Run along with our Area Activator Steven H 40th birthday

We welcomed Grant to his first GoodGym deed and what a great one to pick as your first.
We met Will, the Mousehold Warden, who then took us well into the depths of Mousehold Heath (I'm glad he was there as I would have got everyone lost otherwise!).
There were 3x tasks for the team to get stuck into this evening.
1) Pop and Pull out self seeded birch trees (which will be replanted in more appropriate areas of the heath). 2) Remove some cut back gauze bushes (this is where the gauntlet gloves were very much needed). 3) Pull up some early growing bracken.
It was a very sociable evening with a great turn out of people.

Today was Park Walk day nationwide and we had our fair share here, over 30 i reckon and a fabulous well done to everyone. I was tailwalker so got to see everyone. Roisin was on the Church St lap 1 & lap 2 and Bobby was in the woods with his maracas, he was also celebrating his 100th parkrun volunteering milestone.

Tonight was all about Alina, who was completing her 100th deed with GoodGym, what an achievement! Congratulations Alina.
The task tonight was our first ever visit to Magdalen Medical Practice, to give their garden a good clear over.
As you can see from the photos, the team of GoodGymers had to work had and did a grand job.
