Mrs C has a lovely little garden at her home in Tower Hamlets, but can't manage it any more on her own. Sarah and I helped her out by cutting the grass, pruning the roses, planting a mystery plant (suspected to be a camellia) and doing some weeding and other general tidying up. We found some beautiful little hyacinths lurking underneath the overgrown grass. Sarah, gardener-extraordinaire, was really handy to have around, because of her gardening knowledge. I was more enthusiastic than skilled, but we got the job done. Mrs C was a lovely host and was very appreciative of our efforts. It was a lovely way to spend a Spring afternoon.
