Litter Pick Run
A big welcome to Stephen who came down from Farnbourgh to join us on his first GG task. Stephen is a keen runner who has also a passion for volunteering. It was great having you along today and hope to see you on future tasks 😀.
Tonights task was a litter pick run. Its been a while since we done one.
Wayne, Anne, Adam, Katie, Maya, Julie, and Nadia met at Woking leisure centre along with our latest member Stephen. Once introductions had finished we thought we would run around the park and a bit of the park run route to pick up litter 🏃🏻♂️ It was great catching up with Maya who has been very busy at work. Maya was telling us about her training was coming along for the Chicago Marathon as well as the Surrey 1/2. Adam is still recovering from his ankle injury but is hoping he should be ok for the Surrey 1/2. Nadia wore her new running shoes and was telling us what a big difference they have made they looked great 🏃🏻♂️
Anne & Julie headed further into the woods where they found a good litter haul. In total we had collected 2 big bags of litter.
Once we had we finished we headed off to the pub to celebrated Ann Fancisco 🇺🇸
Next week we are at the primary school in Brookwood to have a tidy up Hope to see you then.
