Woking junior parkrun

Woking Report written by Katie J

This morning Adam, Katie and Phil made their way to Woking Park to volunteer with Junior Park Run.

The sun was shining and this meant a great turn out of children and their parents who either ran with them or cheered them on around the course.

In total 183 children made it through the finish funnel, with the fastest runner completing the course in 7:41.

It was a great morning seeing so many children being active and enjoying themselves.

Dragon 🐉 Boat Race

Woking Report written by Wayne

Sam Beare Hospice

This evening we had the task of delivering leaflets on behalf of Sam Beare Hospice highlighting the up and coming annual dragon boat race 🐉

Wayne got to the lake early and did a 5k run. As soon as he finished his run he made a start and headed to one of the streets around the lake. In total we had 200 leaflets to deliver. Katie arrived shortly after. Katie also did a total of 9k this evening. Becky was also due to come and help but got caught up at work 😢 It was a lovely evening and we managed to get to get all delivered.
