Treeforce at Treadgolds
3 GoodGymers made their way to help the Portsmouth Residents & Visitors in Portsmouth.
- Saturday, 14th of March 2020
- Led by Tracey Dean
Another beautiful day in sunny Portsmouth making the area greener. We met at Treadgolds Community Garden and carried tools and trees to a local park, under the supervision of the teams in charge! Maybe Friday the 13th was still having an influence as 13 holes were dug, but 11 trees planted! All good practice. A mixture of cherry trees and willow, to balance the larger trees already there. Some new skills were acquired as Catherine got instructions on using her knee to support the stake before hammering in the nails, and Lucy borrowed Dennis's dibber. Couldn't dig out many puns, so if anyone could plant some ideas next time...
