The GoodGym stall run during the fantastic festival at Coppetts Wood proved to be a tree-mendous success. GoodGym Barnet, as a community-led organisation focused on combining fitness with social and environmental impact, had much to talk about, so this was a great opportunity to do just that!

Two GoodGymers, Moya and Antonio, chatted away with lots of people, generating a good amount of interest, including from Councillor Barry Rawlings, the Leader of the Barnet Council.

One of the key aspects branching out from the GoodGym stall was the presentation of the conservation work in the Tiny Forest. GoodGym has been actively involved in the restoration and maintenance of this local ecosystem, focusing on rewilding, weeding and surveying the natural flora and fauna. The stall featured informative displays and visuals showcasing the progress made in restoring the Tiny Forest, illustrating the budding impact on biodiversity and local ecology.

GoodGym members explained the importance of conserving such spaces and provided insights into ongoing initiatives, including our regular Tuesday meet-ups at the Phoenix Cinema, clean-up activities and tree planting.

GoodGym members bee-lieve in the power of data and presented some of its findings from their surveys to better understand the buzz-iness of the the Tiny Forest. The stall provided an opportunity for visitors to learn about the methods used for measurement and the significance of tracking these parameters for the long-term preservation of the wood.
