Tracey, John & Vicki received a friendly welcome on arrival after climbing the stairs to the 3rd floor. Tracey & Vicki went back down the stairs ( much easier) to the cafe/bar area which was stocked full of donations! It was a ‘wow’ moment of how generous the people of Portsmouth have been. We honestly did not think everything would be able to fit in the vans!!

John was upstairs filling one ton bags and roll cages full of items - bringing them down to the cafe and we helped empty the bags so he could take them back up to refill. Definitely worked up a sweat moving all the heavy donations.,

Tracey and Vicki started filling the empty one ton bags with nappies!!! So many nappies. Then boxes ‘and boxes of toiletries etc

The 4 vans arrived and everyone started to ‘lift and shift’ to the vans. The guys were skilled at packing,
Within 1 hr 30mins the vans were fully loaded, the cafe area was empty and the stores from upstairs cleared!

Amazing bunch of people involved tonight all from different organisations or just responding to the shout out for help.

It was very hot, hard work but so worthwhile and humbling!
