Sorry for the highly obvious pun, but its the time of year, my hands are cold, and my brain is not functioning.

A small group gathered at the very cold Stepney Bank Stables tonight, with Michael drafted in as a last minute addition and Aimee dashing out between a big piece of work. I met Louise first and we had a fuss of Bob the dog before heading up to our room. Louise caught us up on her fab holiday, I had the standard weekly whinge about my knee and then we got cracking.

Task Owner Paula had a simple but satisfying job for us to do- tack cleaning. This is a simple enough job to do but there is definitely something therapeautic about it. Using warm water, sponges and special soap, each piece of every bridle was carefully cleaned and by the end my arms were absolutely aching! This is a job that really makes a difference for the young people coming to Stepney Bank for their lessons. Special thanks to Luci who took our group photo at the end.

Next Monday is our final group run of the year and it will be followed by a really special fitness session as we support Louise to become a run leader, then all-important festive pints at Arch2. Hope you can make it!
