Afternoon goodgymmers. On Friday, Kapil and I went to help Miss G take down some curtains. Miss G is moving to a home, and wanted to take her lovely curtain and curtain rods with her. After a 20 second handwash as soon as we entered, and hunting for the right screw driver, Kapil and I got to work on removing the wooden curtain rods, whilst we chatted away to Miss G. She let us know that she has fallen victim to not being able to get loo roll and was a good warning to all to shop responsibly. Kapil and I both seemed to not have all our wits about us, and kept losing screws and screw drivers. As a result we both laughed a lot, which I really needed given how sobering the news has been of late. We made light work of removing the wooden panels, and finished within the hour. We washed our hands again and took care not to touch the door handles on the way out and then waved a socially distant goodbye to each other. It made me a little sad, as I generally like to give my fellow goodgymmer a hug or a handshake, but we both want to be well enough to help so many people that need it in the coming weeks and months, so it was the right thing to do. Thanks goodgym for giving me a lovely excuse to get outside, enjoy the walk to the mission and enjoy the walk home!
