We kicked grass
4 GoodGymers made their way to help the Friends of Cator and Alexandra Parks in Bromley.

The rain held off for four South London GoodGymers who snipped, pulled, dug and raked their way to a satisfying Sunday morning task at Alexandra Rec in Penge.
Helen and Millie from the Friends of Alexandra and Cator Park were there to greet Louise, Helena, Pete and Linda. Extra Sunday kudos to Pete and Linda who had run from Purley and Ladywell respectively.
We set to work clearing a huge sensory flowerbed in the playground that had been left to its own devices since being planted over a year ago. It was difficult to see where the grass ended and the flowerbed began but our fabulous foursome had soon created a huge heap of weeds and grass ready for the compost pile. A welcome water and banana break re-fueled us for the final push.
As tempting as it was to join in with the children's potato and spoon race, we headed off for our Sunday afternoons with a warm feeling of a job well done.
