Report written by Cloud (She/Her)
Last Tuesday evening 4 weather-proof volunteers (, Niki, Moya, Antonio, Cloud) run through the urban wilderness of East Finchley to the Tiny Forest site. We met the 5th adventurer Kirsten and her dogs there. This time, we were on a LITTERly cold mission to clean up the area surrounding the Tiny Forest (btw, it's growing nicely!).
Our Lead Runner Antonio conducted his first EVER session covering for our Master, Paul Salman, who couldn't be there this week (we missed you!). Antonio did a brilliant job with the warm up, getting us there and back alive (really, there were moments when we thought we would freeze!! :) ) ...he was most definitely embracing his inner Paul and words of encouragement and kindness led us back to camp safe.
We littered pick 3 full bin bags of rubbished!! It's Ulitterly bizarre the diversity of the litter one can find in an open public green space: from cartons of milk, old t-shirts, plastic trays of chicken, variety of fine cans to what now seems a classic in the Tiny Forest, a bag full of pennies!
Another Tuesday, another adventure! Remember you can also become an adventurer every Tuesday between 18:45 and 8:30pm (outside of these times, we take no liability for your adventures! 😀)

It will help make the reservoir cleaner and safer for visitors and the many plants, birds and animals that live there.
