The weather forecast was good this weekend so Tim organised another Marathon relay challenge. We originally only had 19 signed up for this and Val kindly offered to take a place on both teams. However this was not needed as John B stepped in to run.

This session is becoming so popular that we had 2 teams of 10 where each person has to run or walk 2.6 miles or 4.2km. The teams were as follows

Team 1: Rosie, Maura, Katie L, Vicki, Jen, Mel, Jo K, John B, Catherine and Tim

Team 2: Val, Caroline, Lynn, John W, Louisa, Judy, Rachel, Sam, Jo C and Maxine

During the course of the weekend it was clear that everyone was faster in their legs compared to their previous ones.

Another massive shout out to Rosie who completed her leg in her back garden after being delayed by some diy which meant the course wasn’t clear.

Update from Tim Well well well, could it have been any closer? Only 26 seconds separate the two teams this week thanks to everyone’s fantastic running. Great contribution from everyone. Special mention to Val who took a whopping 10 mins off her previous time and to Jo K who this time recorded the fastest run. Also well done to Maura, Caroline, Vicki, John, Louisa, Rachel and Sam who went significantly faster than last time!

So last time less than 5 mins separated the two teams with times of 5.08:55 and 5.13:53 but this time the two teams were much quicker recording times of 4.37:44 and 4.38:10

And so the winners by 26 seconds are......

Team 2! Congratulations to Val, Caroline, Lynn, John, Louisa, Judy, Rachel, Sam, Jo C and Maxine ! Thanks for taking part everyone, great fun.

Update from Jo K. Tim was in fact the fastest with a very speedy 17.20, well done Tim and thanks once again for organising.
