We thought about having a quiet day, but decided to go out and paint the brown shed.

After the initial deluge this morning which soaked many a dedicated GG-er and then just kept...on...going... our mission was was starting to look more like mission improbable. Fortunately the weather took a turn for the better at midday and changed our status back into Goodgym are go...again.

Nikki G was first on the scene followed by myself, so as our task owner went off to fetch the paint we needed we got on with a bit of scraping and sweeping the build up of squelchy leaves on the cycle path. It wasn't long before a passing cyclist requested our help in clearing a bit of hazardous mulch on the approach to the main road. Happy to do yet more good I trotted off to assist.

On my return, the paint had been delivered and Nikki and I quickly got stuck in painting the new shed a delightful shade of sunny lime to be joined by Emma not long after.

I did originally buy a darker shade of green but was told to take it back and get something a bit more luminous- Task Owner Peter

So rapid and brilliant were our painting skills that we manage not one but TWO coats of paint for the new shed (and no we did not count this as a second good deed ). Glowing with pride and maybe a spot or two of luminous lime paint we set off home (or to yet another task) with a zest in our step.
