Today we were weeding a couple of beds close to the periphery and next to a beautiful Sequoia (Redwood tree). Tree fact: This tree has a spongy fur like outer bark which is known to help protect the tree from forest fires, and is a vibrant red in colour. After a quick lesson in what was or wasn't a weed, we made great progress and filled several buckets for composting. A lovely breeze meant that we had some relief from the warm sunshine. We had some refreshments in the Hub afterwards before going our separate ways.
