Today was our first community mission of the new year and we were back in St Lawrence Park with the legend himself, Mike the park ranger. Mike was in resplendent mood as he gave the instructions for the session ahead. There was one main instruction: DESTROY.

There were a lot of nice plants, planted some time ago around the fencing of the park, but due to lack of maintenance over the last decade they had gotten out of hand. They blocked views into the park, making it feel less safe, so they had to be destroyed.

We had a dream team of destroyers this morning. Andy joined us for his 10th good deed! While Tom was here to start his campaign towards the big 50 good deeds. He's very close. We were also joined by a first timer, Sarah, who unfortunately doesn't seem to have signed up - so please get in touch!

Our main foe wasn't the trees in the end, it was the wind, blowing a gale to protect it's leafy friends. During our coffee break the conversation took a turn as we discussed consuming Yorkshire kittens, which is Tom's patented post holiday diet plan.

More of the same tomorrow, just in a different park.

See you there!
