Having completed Conkers ParkRun 1st thing Lindsay was desperate for a slice of toast - I am having a nice slice of toast she said as we descended to the cafe. But when she got there the cupboard was bare - Tea, Coffee, Water Cake, even Beer but no Toast. So she shared a Twirl with Stu and we all had a cup of something before heading off to Coalville Hospital. The fruits of our last labour still looked magnificent with Stus topiary in its full glory.
At site we welcomed Hannah from GG Sheffield - although originally a Leicester lass - she was visiting her folks and decided to pop along. As you do.
Taskmaster Linda plugged us in and told us to do what we liked in terms of tidying the gardens.
So, we set about completely cutting back the rose on a pergola and attacked yet another shrub bed. The amount of cuttings was huge - I think it took about ten trips to the skip to get rid of it all.
As before Linda had laid on refreshments - in the summer house in case of rain but she need not have worried the weather was glorious - just one problem though...... still no TOAST!!!
Never mind - dark chocolate biscuits are Lindsays favourites (apparently) and the healthy fruit was most welcome.
3 Hours after arriving we called it a day having made another massive difference - still more to be done so we shall set something up for another visit.
LPT NHS has a number of sites where small jobs are not covered by any maintenance contract.
