Luton Goodgyms turned out in force today to support Luton Foodbank's annual colour run.
After putting on the volunteer t-shirts and sunglasses, the team headed over to the paint station. This was essentially a box full of green powder paints that we were going to coat all the runners in as they passed by on their 3 laps around Wardown Park.
Surprisingly very few runners dodged the paint and instead opted for a good covering of colour. One participant asked if we could put some of the green powder paint in her hair as she had all the other colours but not green.
We had great fun playing with powder paints although our own clothes and trainers were casualties and we hope can we join again next year.
Great teamwork, everyone 👏

‘ And wouldn't it be nice to live together In the kind of world where we belong?’
A special parkrun this morning, with the colours of Pride very much in evidence. Goodgymers helped the morning along from set-up, through marshalling to keeping time. After a gray mizzling start the sun popped his hat on and came out to play. A great morning!

Just a team of two this week taking on the task of giving Holy Trinity Church a spring clean. It hasn't had a deep clean for months so there was plenty of dust, dirt and spider webs to clean up from between the pews.
We recruited a third team member in Henry the Hoover, appropriately wearing GoodGym red and together with our task host for the evening, Malcolm, we got active. Floors were vacuumed all over. pews were polished, floors were mopped and the church was left smelling of fresh furniture polish ready for the Easter weekend services!

Wardown Parkrun was the venue for todays task, with a team of 6 Goodgymers attending this months GG Parkrun takeover. Covering various volunteer tasks from set up to Parkwalker and of course Marshaling (who did their own takeover at the top of the hill). An optional extra for the Parkwalker was a pretty pink paddle that was held proudly in the air all the way round the course. Well done everyone, great effort today 👏 👍🏻 💪
