Tom been to three different GoodGym areas.

A Tourist likes nothing better than exploring new areas and meeting new people, and that's what Tom has been doing. Tom has been to three different GoodGym areas now - nice!

You can bank on GoodGym

Hammersmith and Fulham Report written by Tom

All hands were on deck for this morning’s mission. We had an hour to lay out the whole food bank, including:

  • Setting up the waiting area (tables and chairs)

  • Laying all food and products out on tables

  • Organising all boxes ready to restock if needed.

Three newbie goodgymmers (inc myself) nailed the task in half hour! There was a real team effort here between us and the food bank team, and we were pleasantly surprised by the offer of panettone at the end.

Mission: Accomplished

All scaffoldings merry & bright!

Wandsworth Report written by Sophie Humphrey

We spent a lovely morning getting into the Christmas spirit at St Saviour's! There was a lot to do to turn the church into a winter wonderland fit for their carol service but we set to work to pull off a Christmas miracle. Our group of elves set up (and untangled!) six sets of hanging lights, swept up eleven bags of leaves from outside, sorted and decorated two Christmas trees and made sure every surface was looking fabulous with cloths, nets and candles galore. Special shout out to Letizia who took on the task of brightening up the scaffolding and to Jordan and Felix for patiently stringing five hundred lights back and forth.

It will be a wonderful event for the community and will hopefully get everyone feeling festive. It was great to welcome Tom to his first festive group task and to see everyone else ahead of our last task of the year on Monday winding up another fantastic year of doing so much good!

Put up Christmas decorations at St Saviour's

This is the biggest celebration of the year. Grown up children return to enjoy the special Christmas service. We publicise it widely around the area. It's an opportunity for people to step into church.

Community Cape

Tom earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.

Tom completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Tom was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.
