Two runners on the lose for a cleaner town

Wednesday 5th February

Thanks to Ewa for joining last night session! She just hear from a friend about Goodgym and decided to join me and make the city center a bit cleaner!

We ran 3 km around Christ Church University! We start with 8 min warm up to avoid any injuries and some stretches after the run. Weather was good for a light running session.

The University was very kind to share the lockers and Sports Center facilities! After a nice pace run we decided to walk around the town center and Military Road to do some litter picking!

It feels good to have a cleaner town! Hope next time more people can join us!

GoodGym Canterbury Kicks Off with an Amazing First Session!

Last Saturday, GoodGym Canterbury marked its debut with an energetic and inspiring first session that left everyone buzzing with excitement and potential!

The amazing morning began with a warm-up that got hearts pumping and spirits high, preparing the group for what lay ahead. The main session featured a scenic 3 km run, providing the perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment. Post-run, we focused on stretching to cool down and keep those muscles happy and ready for the next adventure.

Five enthusiastic participants with different fitness levels joined us for this milestone event, each bringing their unique energy and commitment to making a difference. Along the way, we had meaningful conversations about the positive impact GoodGym can have on Canterbury and its community. From helping neighbours in need to tackling local projects, the possibilities feel endless!

We also discussed how fitness and community spirit go hand-in-hand with GoodGym. With the right guidance, anyone can build their fitness while giving back to the place they call home.

It was incredible to see this group come together, united by a shared passion for running, helping, and making Canterbury stronger. We are already looking forward to the next session, this is just the beginning!

See you next time, team Goodgymers!
