6 Goodgymmers delivered the Braunstone Alert to support B-inspired Foodbank, a regular activity we have done for 2 years now.

Today was a new round we haven’t completed before, luckily our newest member Mohamed had already had his map reading skills tested by the GoodGym website sending him to a different start location. Weldone Mohamed coming along to your first session!

We split into 2 teams to go around the block, a lot of the first road were flats with lots of stairs and corridors, we stuck close together delivering where we could.

Filling up on our daily steps we walked back to B-inspired to have a little Christmas social with amazing cake Dawn had made for the group and also Sarah’s home baked mince pies.

Dawns cake went down a treat with hot drinks and a good catch up and laugh about Jimmy and his missing gloves after playing walking football. Keep active all and see you again soon!

The famous 5 made their way to B Inspired Leicester to pack beauty bags for distribution at Christmas to men and women .

A lovely seasonal task that will make a big difference to recipients on Christmas Day.

Generous donations of shower gel, body lotion, face masks and hair products were soon sorted and packed into individual boxes , 136 in total!

The band of Santa's helpers made light work of finishing the task in record time and didn’t even stop for a coffee break!

Coffee was provided from staff and flapjacks courtesy of Nick were very welcome and kept the helpers fuelled whilst they carried on packing the boxes .

We had nothing scheduled for this Friday so were feeling pretty lost, then b-inspired asked if we could distribute their Braunstone Alert community newsletter for August/Septermber. Stu and Nick were straight on it and enjoyed a good walk around the estate in the sun, and wind.

5 GoodGymmers came to help deliver Binspired brochures, greeted with winter weather this didn't stop them.

We navigated our way to our delivery round to post the June/July edition of the B-inspired Alert through the communities doors. This brochure tells the locals about what events are going on, including information about Foodshare. The 8th time we have supported this task.

Dawn baked a delicious lemon sponge cake to the joy of the GoodGymmers, along with teas and coffees from B-inspired it was prefect, weldone all.

4 fantastic Goodgymers came for a morning walk to help deliver the Braunstone Alert, a brochure by the charity B-inspired, informing the community about the events they have and the valuable foodshare service they offer.

We worked as 2 teams delivering meeting back up at the end of streets with bungalows, more hands made for lighter load and the task was complete in no time. Brilliant to have Cliff join us today using one of his community days from his work, good to see you.

Although we missed Goodgymmer Dawn on the session she had made an amazing chocolate cake for my birthday for us to have a slice with hot drinks after the task, very much appreciated, her cakes are delicious!

5 Goodgymmers came out to play to help support B-inspired deliver their freshly printed Alerts. Jimmy and Stu both ran to the task, and then ran some more to the delivery location and back again, lots of running for those two keen beans.

A different round to our usual with the aim to target bungalows with the B-inspired Alert, the community brochure telling local residents what groups are available to them, about current local news and what the food bank has to offer those in need, also has some easter themed crafts and colouring.

Welcome back Dawn great to have you join us again, super speedy on the delivering and congratulations on your 5th Good deed.
