5 Fantastic Goodgymmers made their way to litter pick a stretch between the popular coffee house Jennoâs and Sainsburyâs as the area seems to be a litter trap. It was heaving even on a Friday morning so we made sure the leaflet stand was well stocked with GoodGym leaflets.
On route we found so many cans that we bagged those up separately and Nick is going to take them along to the Air ambulance charity where they get cash for cans.
Dawn found a tooth brush and I found a flattened pound coin that I donated to Stu, think he would have rather of had one he could spend.
3 full bags plus a sack of cans we were finished and ready for coffee, where we met Cliff and Lindsayâs cute little dog Alfie. Running Legend Stu was telling us about trip to Wales this weekend to run the 10km in Snowdonia, good luck!
Weldone team another morning well spent doing something good together.

4 fantastic Goodgymers came for a morning walk to help deliver the Braunstone Alert, a brochure by the charity B-inspired, informing the community about the events they have and the valuable foodshare service they offer.
We worked as 2 teams delivering meeting back up at the end of streets with bungalows, more hands made for lighter load and the task was complete in no time. Brilliant to have Cliff join us today using one of his community days from his work, good to see you.
Although we missed Goodgymmer Dawn on the session she had made an amazing chocolate cake for my birthday for us to have a slice with hot drinks after the task, very much appreciated, her cakes are delicious!
Weldone everyone great to see you all keep doing good and keeping fit.

Stu, Mel, Jen , Tracey , Cliff and Lindsay headed off to Bede Park in search of litter tonight .
Thankfully the sun shone after a rainy day and the search for litter wasnât disappointing.
Bags of litter and cans were collected around the perimeter of the park.
Another great task that made the park cleaner for its users .
Well done everyone

Another great day on the vaccination programme.
Birstall's finest Dan joined us for his first shift, Cliff put in a stint on the car park on his birthday and Stu, Huw, Mel and Dave completed shifts too.
Nick, on a rare day off from volunteering, turned up in his running gear to visit us on a long Saturday run with Ashley!
But the star of the day was Lindsay who became the latest to join the coveted Angel Wings club completing her 100th good deed with GoodGym - a remarkable achievement considering she spent 13 months of the 3.5 year history of GG Leicester living down in Kent! Lindsay has been a brilliant contributor to the group and a fantastic Run Leader covering for the absence of Dave in the early years of the group. Well done Lindsay!

More great from GG Leicester at the coronavirus vaccination centre.
Jen continued her amazing litter picking work with another four hour stint while the rest of the gang plus Lindsay's husband Cliff got stuck in within the centre itself.
Amazing work gang, so proud to spend time with you all every day and be making such a fantastic difference.
Far too tired to tot up our total hours for the week so far but fair to say we are going to smash last week's 218 volunteering hours.

Cliff Fung earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Cliff completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Cliff was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.
