Free hot meals provided at the Sholin Salvation Army, Southampton each Wedsnesday, everyone welcome
Our vision is to make food poverty, loneliness and food waste a thing of the past for every community. With community dining, week in, week out we feed the hungry and give company to the lonely in our communities; providing delicious meals and great conversation, and using food which would otherwise go to waste.3 GoodGymers have supported FoodCycle Community Meals with 2 tasks.

After a last cancellation for this evening's task we were able to get back out in Sholing to deliver the remaining FoodCycle leaflets. We managed to complete all the roads in our remaining list and get to a few more too. Hopefully more of the local community will now be able to benefit and enjoy a meal and some company at this great project.

We were tasked with promoting the fabulous FoodCycle free meals project in Sholing this evening by delivering leaflets to the local community. This organisation welcomes everyone for food and company, but in particular is there to support people who are isolated, elderly or families in need. Wilson quickly set to work mapping us a route based on the roads we were delivering leaflets to and 3.3 miles later we were done. Well not quite actually, we’ll have to go back for another round we think!
