This morning, Paulin, Laura and Emma went to Thames Reach to help tidy up their outside area.
The main job we had to do was cut back some shrubs, since some branches were growing into the path. Laura accidentally turned up early and by the time Paulin and Emma arrived, she had done most of the task! As a result, Paulin and Emma did some litter picking.
An hour later, the area already looked a lot better! So we called it a day and headed onwards to the rest of our weekend.

Four GG runners arrived at the project garden. After 90 mins of raking, weeding and chopping, we had filled six bags full of gardening waste. It was a bit muddy but good to get some exercise in after Christmas!

Emma and I eventually found each other as I was running late and this was a new GoodGym mission with Thames Reach, a homeless and mental health charity by South Bermondsey station.
Our contact there had told us all about the various different homelessness projects they were involved in. 90 Galleywall is their office as well as a resident space for those on a "two year getting back into society" program.
The residence had a lovely garden, which was slightly overgrown and needed GoodGym's attention. Emma and I were up for the task of cutting back the hedge and clearing the path of weeds and leaves. We barely scratched the surface as the hour and a bit flew by! During this time, Emma and I chatted about GoodGym, our lives and what we were up to later today!
We will be back for more!
