Today was my 250th Parkrun Volunteering 81 of which have been here at Leabridges Junior Parkrun. To add to the celebrations it wasn’t raining. The RD had made a 250 banner which was lovely and I bought a box of Heroes as all Volunteers are just that. 9 juniors turned up to run todays, all wizzing around the course

On Leabridges #90 junior parkrun we had one young park runner receive their marathon wristband and Kieran, one of our regular participants, celebrating his 9th birthday and his 100th junior parkrun . Well done to him. We had three new juniors enjoying their very first parkrun’s, one of which I followed as Tail Walker this week. He joined as his little friend Ivy started a few weeks ago and told him all about it. It was so sweet to see two four year olds helping each other round, holding hands around most of the course. This is what Parkrun is all about

#89th Leabridges junior parkrun and 18 young people ran their way around a very warm, sunny Lea Bridges . Today was Volunteering 201 for me 58th here at Leabridges. Lots of happy faces today even though it was so hot they all had rosy glows. We could have done with a water station on Marshal point 4 at the bottom of the field as they passed me. Let’s do it all again next week. Come and volunteer you’ll love it. Email leabridgesjuniors@parkrun.com Then sign up on the Goodgym mission site to get your GG credit. You’ll make it possible for the event to go ahead

8 hopping bunnies (well children) enjoyed a very sunny morning running 2K around Leabridges park. Once again our 1st across the finish achieved his 2nd week running PB. There was an insensitive to reach the end with Easter chocolates and biscuits for those who wanted them. There was plenty for us Volunteers to. Happy Easter everyone.

It was Leabridges #83 run today and 15 runners turned out on a beautiful April sunshine morning. There were some fast times and everyone had a big smile today as they past me on Marshall post 4 at the bottom of the hill. Well done to you all and many thanks to the Volunteers who turn out each week especially the Core team.

7 hardy juniors braved the cold, wet 8.45 arrival but by the start it had warmed up and by the finish 40 minutes later the sun was out. As tail walker though my trainers were soaked through to soggy socks. Thank goodness I had a spare pair.
