Josh Tabitha and Pete met at Beer n Burger, warmed up, then jogged a couple of k's to the Gladstone Park allottments, where we met Beatriz and Tania and Carol who runs them. Carol organised us, giving us tools and gloves. Tania was joining for the first time, so welcome Tania ๐. Beatriz and Tabitha used wheelbarrows and forks to transport wood chippings to create new paths while Josh Tania and Pete dug over a patch of garden to return nutrients to the soil. Carol gave us yummy juice and cake at the end, then some of us walked home, the rest jogged the couple of k's back to Beer n Burger where we cooled down and finished. Great job! Well done! See you next week.

Last Saturday morning Carol and Marie welcomed Goodgym Brent to the Willesden community allotments
The beds needed weeding and turning to get them ready for planting later in the season.
The wet weather made the ground soft, and the volunteers a little wet, so we keenly started weeding and digging.
While digging we found a large number of worms , and a few potatoes.... perfect for a lovely lunch
After spending the time digging and weeding we could really see the difference . The sun came out as the morning went on and we moved on to the next task which was moving wood chip to create a path between beds . We worked well as a team , filling buckets and barrows and wheeling them back to spread on the path .
There is still lots to be done but we made a great job of starting the transformation. It was time to call it a day , take a team photo , and enjoy the orange juice and cakes that Marie & Carol had very generously provided for us all
Thank you to everyone who was able to make it , and we expect to be back soon ! You can read more about the work of the NW2 residents association here : https://www.northwesttwo.org.uk/

Five Goodymers met at Willesden Green, and warmed up, as it was very much needed on a freezing Monday Night.
We jogged through Gladstone park, taking the scenic route among the brambles and bushes. We made it to Gladstone Park allotments where we met Carol, Garet, Dani and Marie, who are keen members of NW2 Residents association and want to help clear up the allotments for the local residents. Christine, Kat and Danny had got to work already, they were filling wheelbarrows with woodchip to create a path through the allotments. Lee soon arrived to help also, and as the wheelbarrows were in use, had to pick a bucket or two, and fill it with woodchip to make the paths.
The rest of the group grabbed some tools, and weeded an area where a path once was. After digging and weeding, the path was revealed, ready to be spread with more woodchip. In no time at all the path was cleared and relayed.
We regrouped for a photo, and then Carol shared juice and pannetone with us all.
The team were so pleased with the incredible job we all did at the community allotment. They had hoped for just one path, but we managed two thanks for all the hard work of the team!
They would love to have us back again to help with the weeding, ideally in the daylight, we we have created a commuity mission on the 4th November.

Leigh, Lee and Pete met at Beer n Burger, welcome Leigh whose first time it was at Goodgym ๐, we did a short warm-up then jogged to Cricklewood where we met Marie and several other volunteers, we filled buckets, poured soap, got our gloves and cloths and climbed ladders to wash and scrub the large Cricklewood signs on both sides of the bridge. After some good elbow-grease we all had them shining clean. We then proceeded to walk to the Cricklewood stars walk of fame where we cleaned the 3 stars there. All in all a great job! โจ๐๐Well done Goodgymers.

On Monday Evening Pete, Charley, Samina and Tabitha met in Willesden ready to run! After a welcome and a warm up we ran to Cricklewood where Marie and her fellow NW2 Residents Association members had already started on our evening task. We were helping remove graffiti and clean the large Cricklewood sign under the bridge.
Charley and Pete used squeegy mops to reach the top part of the sign, while Samina and Tabitha tackled the bottom. The dirt ran off, making it easy to see the difference we were making. Some water staining took alot more elbow grease, but with the team working hard we soon got rid of it all.
A big thanks to NW2 RA, as well as B&G for the water and cleaning supplies!
Once clean we posed for some photos and ran back to Willesden and home.
Hope to see you soon!

We met outside Papagayo for a short warm-up before we ran to Cricklewood. We were greeted by Marie. Her instructions were for some people to 'weed', for others to clean up after they had 'weed' and for others to spray the roots once the weeding had been completed.
We were given tools and quickly set to work. Before long, it was time for our weekly photo shoot!
There was lots of time remaining, so Liz lead a HITT fitness session.
- Knee to elbow jumps
- Squat jumps
- Star jumps
- Squat punches
- Skatters
Two rounds, then it was time to run back to Papagayo.
