Intercepts surplus food from going to waste to redistribute in our open-access community cafe and shop. We feed bellies not bins and welcome anyone regardless of need to tackle the climate emergency, build community and reduce social isolation also providing many work experience /volunteering/job opprotunities.36 GoodGymers have supported Planet Food York with 134 tasks.

Lawlessness still rules in York as Mikael and Bec, still leaderless, whizzed through the afternoon tasks tidying up at the brilliant Planet Food. Nothing is wasted at Southlands; delicious meals consumed, excess groceries distributed and the small task of tidying up afterwards achieved. It's always a pleasure to see the Planet Food team crack on, and the local people enjoying their lunch and their chats.
