smorgasbord /ˈsmɔːɡəsbɔːd/ noun a range of open sandwiches and delicacies served as hors d'oeuvres or a buffet. a wide range of something; a variety. "the album is a smorgasbord of different musical styles"
Initially perhaps not the most logical title, but it actually covers things quite well...
As always, conversation flowed while bags full of donations got checked and sorted, from health & well being to linguistics and reclaiming old school words (ask Sharon about that one 🤣)
Bags of donations empty, sorted clothing expertly packed up by Adam and it was time to make our goodbyes again - back in 6 weeks!

After a lovely chat with Attia & Jonathan (see doc check) a vote in the Democratic Republic of GGR meant we decided to skip the litter pick and stick with some fitness work instead, not in the least that the weather did not invite for walking about stop-start picking litter, let alone chasing items blowing dangerously down the road!
So off we went on an improvised route, catching up and discussing all sorts.
Apologies, we did not get round to a group pic, so the view from 'our' room will have to do.

Most of us met early to be assigned our roles although one turned up in the Saint Nick of time. 🎅😂
Once we were in post some of us took "Elfies" 🧝 for the report.
Not sure if Santa's Reindeer got caught short but there was some 💩 on the course which required extra vigilant marshaling to help runners avoid messy accidents. Apart from that the track was relatively hazard free and we got 240 runners safely round.
We then made our way to the cafe for a little natter and a snack including a slice of Colin the Red Nosed Caterpillar cake.
Merry Christmas GGR 🌲🥳

After a few hiccups & delays it was finally coming together - Adams back has healed up enough to restart some sorting sessions!
So 6 Goodgymmers made their way to the Cornerstone Church, to find Adam sensibly employed a few helpers to get things ready for us, with the kids staying behind livening up the place with their energy.
As if there was no gap, the crew smoothly resumed the routine with James kindly explaining the details to Sabinah for whom it was the first time at the babybank.
Conversation flowed throughout so once again all bags got sorted before we even really noticed. Packing up didn't take too long either, leaving time for some more stories before saying our goodbyes to Adam and went out into the night.
