Nine Goodgymers turned up at Nature's Haven to up-cycle some old doors into a greenhouse. Plenty of sandpaper was used to smooth the edges and remove the old varnish. Door furniture was removed and dusted down. The spider living in the key hole didn't look too healthy so was rehoused under some leaves! There was plenty of teamwork making the dream work! The evening was rounded off with some very welcome hot drinks and toasted marshmallows around the fire pit. We look forward to returning next week for part 2!

🎉 What a fantastic night we had with 13 enthusiastic GoodGym members joining us for tonight’s task! We were thrilled to welcome Sarah and Elizabeth for their first Wednesday night adventure!
Our evening kicked off with a meet-up at the community centre. We enjoyed a social stroll through Kidwells Park and town, before gathering with the rest of the crew. Our task leader, Donna, then led us on a secret trail to sneak into the Nicholson's Centre after dark! 🌙🔦
Once we arrived at our mission site, we were introduced to the amazing work of the Green Skills Library. They’re all about working with local communities to boost sustainability and align with the UN's Global Goals on Climate, Biodiversity, and Health & Wellbeing. 🌍💚
Tonight’s tasks had us rolling up our sleeves and getting creative! We built a planter out of reclaimed pallets and got down to some serious sanding and painting of pre-made planters. These beauties will be donated to social housing and other local charities. It was a wonderfully social evening, filled with laughter, learning new skills, and engaging conversations about the Green Skills Library’s awesome initiatives and what we can do ourselves at home. 🛠️🎨
We are back again next week so look out for the listing and get signed up!

Elizabeth Alexander (she / her) earned their community cape by completing their first community mission.
Elizabeth completed a community mission. Instead of watching TV or lying in bed, Elizabeth was out there making their community a better place to be. For making that choice they have earned the community cape.

A great morning again at Braywick Heath with lovely sunshine! We welcomed a new member Liz along with Anna, Matthew, Scarlett and Laura! Our task for the day was to fill pots with compost ready for the imminent delivery of plugs. We all got stuck in and Liz quickly became one of the team! In all we filled over 8 hundred pots which pleased all involved - a great achievement!Great job well done all those volunteers.
