Light footing around Town

A group of 10 smooth stepping GoodGymers worked their super running form to perfection in the urban playground that is Granary Square in Camden.

On a crisp Thursday evening we worked to hone and improve our ground contact time in our running form while perfecting our slight forward lean as we softly glided to various locations around the square.

We worked hard hoping and skipping, straight leg bouncing and accelerating to get our stretch Shortening cycle of the running stride as efficient as possible while practicing our balancing and coordination skills.

Rounding off with a few chase races ensued we worked hard and smart so we can take big strides forward in our Running Fitness journey.

Be great to have you along next week for some more Running Fitness action!! Sign up here

Fitness 4 All Camden- Showing a clean pair of heels!

A crisp autumn evening saw the first of a Four Fitness focused session in Camden. 9 eager runners met in Granary Square ready for action, the focus of the session was running form and posture.

Following a dynamic warm up to mobilise the joins and activate the key muscles, we worked on a couple of key areas of running form, a strong and secure running form will greatly improve our running economy as well as reduce your susceptibility to getting injured.

Working on our forward lean and clean heels where we concentrated on driving our knees to 90 degrees and landing softly on the mid to front part of our feet. We skipped, marched and danced our way to ever improving running form engaging our core more and more on each drill.

To feed our legs a little speed we rounded off the evening with some fast feet into some speedy accelerations before a relaxed cool down into a series of static stretches before we headed off into the night armed with a few new running skills to work on.

Great effort from everyone and hope to see you all again next week! Sign up here
