Make Charlton a nicer place to walk around!

Another sunny Sunday and GoodGym, CleanUpCharlton and a local friend set out to clean the mean streets of SE7. Hopefully the person who complained about the state of Ramac Way on FixMyStreet recently will see a bit of a difference - but what's with all the balloons? (Almost 99 and none of them red!). And why are there SO many cigarette ends in the cycle lane? It's these type of intellectual questions that GoodGymers have to try to answer...
We left 4 bags for Greenwich Council (in the approved grey bags), sorted out some Asda trollies so they didn't cause a car crash, and made a neat pile of bigger items that will hopefully be collected too. And then it was off to the M&S cafe as usual for refreshments.
Thursday 10th April
Felicity K been Mission Verified.
Congratulations to Felicity who is now Mission Verified. They're now ready to start running GoodGym missions to help older people and running alone to community mission. Give Felicity a cheer to kickstart their mission running career.

Sunday 9th March
Felicity K completed 25 good deeds with GoodGym.
Felicity has already done 25 good deeds with GoodGym. Instead of doing anything else, they've used their run to go and help people that need their help; digging, lifting, scraping, clearing, planting and weeding. Stuff that makes this a better place to be.

The best day of the year so far with sunny skies and a spring in the step of the GoodGym team who joined CleanUpCharlton to pull some of the usual bottles, cans, cardboard, cigarette ends, Christmas trees (?!) and inner tubes out of the shrubberies of Anchor & Hope Lane in Charlton. The spring flowers were blooming down at Atlas Gardens but now look much better without a carpet of plastic pieces. Hope restored, we adjourned to M&S for the usual coffee break.
