Hounslow Report written by Lucy Hill
We met in the sunshine on a Wednesday eve, on Chiswick’s Staveley Road, Best known for it’s cherry trees, which blossom by the load.
Our task tonight was to weed and tidy around each cherry tree, The younger ones had wood chip protection, but the elders needed TLC.
We got to work in twos and threes, with gloves and bags and hoes, Working on each side of the road, getting through the rows.
Klama was there with Maxxie her dog, and Analiese from H&F, Chi turned up on his bike half way through, surprising Ishan and Beth.
We’d done quite well, cleared lots of weeds, when Remy called it a day, So we tidied up our bags and bins, then headed back to the garage way.
We finished the task with Beth’s vegan cake, much to everyone’s delight, Filled with treats and a good deed, we wished each other a good night.
