Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Yes, we did take an excellent Bohemian Rhapsody-esque group photo but we also managed to do lots of good at Brunswick cemetery, with Alice standing in for our holidaying Activator.
Half the group were bramble bashing and the other half were path revealing. We divided and conquered and the task organisers were really happy with the progress made. We caught up on recent races and future running plans whilst we worked and decided it was time for tools down when we could no longer see.
Thanks so much for joining me tonight all and a shout out to Clo for back marking and to Paul for the pun.
Remember there's Eats after the group run next Tuesday!

Thabks! It’s nickbkr@aol.com - I did try to register for the run on Tuesday beforehand but it didn’t allow me to (maybe connected to the other issues with registering people are having?)

We weren't at all nervous that GG Central had sent an inspector along to our Bristol Group Run, just as yet another bridge was closed to pedestrians making our running and walking route even more complicated.
The spy/inspector was the very lovely Theresa who'd managed to negotiate trains and buses to get to is and soon put us at ease (when we'd explained there would be cake later!).
After the usual welcome, we set off in three group - runners led by Vaguely Northern Darren and backmarked by Alice D, Tim leading and backmarking the cycling group (of one) and Melanie with Theresa walking and chatting non-stop. It was great to talk about all things "normal for GG Bristol" that don't necessarily happen elsewhere, and things we can learn from other GGs.
Work was well underway by the time we arrived at the Southville Centre and Hugh was quick to say how lovely we all are - phew! There was sweeping and painting and tidying all over the place and Theresa managed to talk to lots of people about their first time at GoodGym (way back when) to help GG Central with ideas/stories for helping others to cone along - lots of people sign up but never make it or wait ages before finding out how amazing it is to be a GoodGymmer.
The convoluted journey meant the walkers had to leave before the Big Finish but happily received a message to get our drinks order as the runners has overtaken us on the way back.
But what about the Cake News or Fake News? Russell

Ever been trapped in a lift? Ever been trapped in a shop? Ever been left in a warehouse and wondered where everyone had gone? ALL THREE escape room nightmares featured in tonight's task - what fun!
I'm pretty sure it was exactly what Ashley and Seb were expecting from their first (and hopefully not last) GoodGym experience. And they found lovely headgear for the final photo.
Emmaus' shops have been short-staffed die to companions being poorly so we stepped in to do the heavy lifting to swap around sofas and chairs that had sold, not sold or were newer stock for the shop's ground and first floor retail areas from (and to) the warehouse's mezzanine and basement floors. With one very slow lift that had a mind of its own at times!
Lots of energy expended for a great cause, the runners set off for Queen Square to stretch off and pop to workout for a drink on the terrace.
