PE was on the curriculum this evening.
Class had assembled by the time the school bell rang.
The maths worked out perfectly:
4 x Goodgymers 4 x brushes 2 x tins of wood stain 1 x changing room block
The original plan was to finish painting the perimeter fence however as soon as she saw the changing rooms, Head Girl Sara measured up, worked out a plan and made sure we were timetabled to finish by 7.30.
She and Prefect Sol paired up at one end and Jen and Rupi teamed up at the opposite end and set to work applying Dark Oak wood stain.....it really does do what it says on the tin.
It was soon clear who was heading for detention as Rupi went slapdash and accidently splashed Jen....although she could claim it was a science experiment to see if there was a chemical reaction.
Deputy Head Teacher, Mr Gresswell soon came along to mark our work. We were all so delighted to receive our 'My Teacher says I'm a star' stickers.
Luckily we are making a return visit on 15th July when we hope to earn more house points.
Great job team.

Rupi and Sheila chose a lovely sunny evening to help out at the community allotment. After doing the watering, we got down to the main task of planting the peas. The main support structure was already in place but we added some extra poles and wired them in. We then teased apart the mass of pea seedlings and planted them at the bases of the poles. it wad great to see some worms busy in the soil. After watering them the plants in, we arranged some netting over the poles to deter the birds from pecking at our peas. we look forward to being able to pick some peas in a few weeks

Our first job of the session was to dig small holes about a foot apart to plant the hedgerow saplings which will grow into a hedge border to separate one of the garden areas from the car park.
Working in pairs (Jen and Sol, Devon and Rupi) by floodlight we soon reached the end of the fence markers sp we finished the session by deweeding and turning over two of the beds nearby.
