We returned to the Berry Maze on a lovely sunny morning, a good variety of jobs done including mowing, weeding, edging and trimming and even sowing some grass seed (which Barney says should be green and fuzzy by the time we return!) There were also some summer raspberry plants for anyone who wanted to take some with the promise of berries next year!

A lovely crisp sunny winter's day for helping out at the Royate Hill Community Orchard.
Several tasks were tackled:
Phil and Russ shifted a load of compost and repaired a rotten compost bin.
Paul and James headed down to the woodchip pile to load up a load of boxes to be driven up to the Orchard
Richard and Sarah, and later Russ and Phil shifted the boxes out of the car and helped cart them up the hill and mulched around the trunks of the various apple trees.
Thanks for coming along everyone, good work!

Hannah More Schoolās playground and field were buzzing with very excited children as four GoodGymmers arrived to marshal/craft/fire feed for their annual bonfire fundraiser.
We couldnāt get the mast of the generator lights to raise, but at least got them pointed in the right direction before taking up positions on the bat craft table, sparkler HQ, wood pile by the fire and later keeping said excited (and v loud) children away from the artists throwing and twirling fire sticks around.
We got to use a wheelbarrow to bring extra wood to the fire, albeit surrounded by small people, so our wheelbarrow training skills were all out to good use and much fun was had by all.

Sarah Jelbert done a 6 month mission streak.
Sarah just completed a six month streak of doing missions. Thatās so many bags of garden rubbish cleared and jobs done to help someone out and put a smile on their face. Give Sarah a cheer to encourage them to keep up the good work.

It might have been very soggy but that made it perfect for getting the roots of the weeds up and soon the triangle path was looking much less grassy, a plant bed looked like soil instead of green carpet and lots more tomb stones could once again see the light of day. Or get washed down in the rain.
Lots of opportunity for socially distanced chat followed by a quick drink (and Sunday roast for Shreena!) - a great way to spend a soggy autumnal afternoon.
