Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Lisa W
It was a glorious sunny morning out on Crookhorn Golf Course today. I joined 7 members of the PAWARA Environment Group to plant 250 tree whips of 10 different species, including Beech and Field Maple. We managed to slot plant over two thirds within the allotted time and added wood chip mulch to each site. The area was alive with wildlife having spotted a hovering kestrel, a queen bee, and plenty of big worms. It is likely that the trees will need protecting due to the Tree Warden noticing a deer run track behind the area. The task wasn't completed so is planned to be finished off next Thursday.
