Report written by JP
The third of four leaflet drops for the Shooting Star Children's Hospice took place in lunch break today, with 5 Richmond regulars and a new joiner (welcome, Nick!) hitting the streets with bundles of blue paper.
We started off Cambridge Park in East Twickenham, covering Alexandra, Morley, Denton, Cresswell and Cambridge Roads before crossing over to the other side and doing Beresford and Park Road, then finished off along Richmond Road.
Fortunately we managed to get done before the rain... hopefully it'll stay dry for the last round of leafleting at 10am on Saturday morning (meet at Richmond station) - sign up here for that one! https://www.goodgym.org/v3/sessions/sharing-information-about-the-shooting-stars-christmas-tree-collection-d1331921-b40b-452a-aa0a-a8c3aae6ec06
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, across west London and Surrey. We’re here to make every moment count, whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months, or years. We support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional, and medical care. Our specialist care and support is free of charge and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We support around 500 babies, children, or young adults who have a life-limiting condition and their families, as well as around 200 bereaved families. It costs £10 million a year to run Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, so we rely on the generosity of our supporters to keep our services going.
