Todays activity at the Ealing Salvation Army was full of farm fresh veggy deliveries. Volunteers filled takeaway bags chock full of fresh root veggies and other goodies to be turned into delicious meals.
What did the veggies say when the music came on? “Lettuce turnip the beet!”. Phew, with that obligatory attempt of a pun out of the way, we turn our focus onto the clothes donations.
With the cold weather approaching, an ample array of sweaters, coats and other cozy attire was labelled and placed for pickup in the donation area. All volunteers worked together to make this a success :)
Ealing Soup Kitchen is a registered charity set up to help the vulnerable and homeless in the area. Nine local churches support our faith-based Soup Kitchen, which has been running since 1973.
