38 excellent people ran to two tasks to support sports and kids in Lambeth. Plus SPOTM and the GBBO!

As the last week in October, it was time to present the Shit Prize of the Month (SPOTM)...the prixe this month was an M&Ms red notebook, a free coffee sachet and an empty CD case. Who would win such an award? Why Nicky Woodall, that's who! She only joined GG a month ago and has been to every run in October and is getting her DBS checks sorted too. Go Nicky!

There were two run options this week. Run 1 was helping the Herne Hill Forum to tidy up after their Halloween party for local kids and their families. James JB led this run and here is what he had to say about it:

We went to Herne hill to clear up after the kids halloween party, we lifted weights, swept up spooky trash, and put gazebos away. Then we did a quick set of squat/sprint circuits then ran back to papas played a SPOOKTACULAR anagram game that DEFINITELY WASN'T borrowed from Wandsworth the day before!

Run 2 was led by Katie and we headed down to Vauxhall to support the Black Prince Trust. This community sports and fitness site needed some bulbs planting and some shelves put up. We made tidy work of the bulb planting but sadly the shelves were missing long enough screws and the drill malfuntioned. However, we did a solid pace both there and back and we all enjoyed looking around the site.

With some stretches it was time for GBBO treats....Jim and Issy had the challenge of patisserie week, yikes! They tackled it with aplomb and the meringues and tart tartin were both tres bon! Great work gang :)
