Georgeta and Sheila respondedto a request to help Mr D with some jobs in his front garden. We braved the Friday traffic by cycling there, and assessed what needed doing There was an old sofa which needed cutting up so that it could be disposed of. We turned it over and found it had a wooden frame. Georgeta set to work with a saw, and with her usual grit and determination, it was soon reduced to manageable pieces. Mr D was amazed and delighted. Meanwhile Sheila set to work on the front border which needed to be cleared before the front wall is taken down. The both of us dug up a rose bush and moved it to the side border - hopefully it will take OK. Mr D was pleased with how much we were able to achieve, enabling him to do the next phase of the front garden project.
