4 Goodgymers jogged and walked their way to the Community centre in Batheaston on a glorious sunny Sunday to help paint the community hall.

We welcomed Hayley who joined us for the first time. Welcome Hayley, we hope you enjoyed your task with us.

Faced with red doors, paint brushes and white paint, the team quickly got to work and managed a first coat on all the key areas identified by the task owner. You can see from the pictures that many more coats are required but we made a good start for the volunteers at the centre.

Rewarded with lovely sandwiches and juices, we then made our way back to our homes ready for a sunny afternoon at our own leisure.

The hall is available for hire at other times. Qualified Youth Workers engage with the young people to help develop their social skills and bridge the generation gap in the village. Participation in sports and recreation activities is strongly encouraged.
