Six of us gathered for a beach clean on Hayling Island, partway down the Hayling Billy Trail.

Rachel, Maura, Mel, Aimee and I were joined by visiting GoodGymer, Ben, all the way from GG Birmingham. Thanks for joining us, Ben - hope to see you at another Portsmouth Community Mission some time! And well done, Aimee, for Community Mission number 3!

Although there was very little dropped litter on the beach, unfortunately there was a lot of plastic and fishing debris caught in the seaweed. We only really scratched the surface of the huge quantity of litter on a short stretch of the beach. But in an hour we each collected a bagfull and enjoyed the September sun on Hayling Island.

Thanks Judy, was lovely to meet you all and I enjoyed the litter pick. Hopefully I will be down for another Portsmouth mission over the coming months 😊
