It was a case of blink and you’ll miss us at last night’s task, which ended up being one of our shortest yet (apart from the ones that have been cancelled).

We met at Forest Rec with the plan being to deliver leaflets for the Nottingham Green Festival around houses in the Forest Fields area. We headed off up one of the residential roads - Peter, Nigel and Tom on one side and Rosemarie, Vytautas and Rachel L on the other. However, after about 15-minutes of posting, we all ran out of leaflets!

We had vastly underestimated how many leaflets we would be able to deliver in an hour. This was partly because when collecting the leaflets there weren’t many people signed up to the task, but also because we were obviously just too speedy.

As we were near to the community centre where the leaflets were stored, we did attempt to try and get some more but there was no one around to let us in. Nevertheless, we had a good chat and a quick photo by a badger mural before heading on our way with a big note to self to get more leaflets next time.

The Nottingham Green Festival is on 8th September and GoodGym have been asked if we can help clear up after the event. Sign up here and why not go along early and enjoy what looks like an amazing event!

Oh and good luck to Peter who is heading down to London this weekend for The Big Half – happy running!!
